Some Webinar Software Facts

By Ken Morrison

Traditionally, holding a seminar involved congregating people in a conference hall and giving presentations. Webinars, however, achieve the same purpose but operate in a virtual space space where the attendees link up through a network like the internet and watch or listen to a presentation. Webinar software is the program that makes this possible.

A program for webinars can either be free or require a license to use. The free programs usually have limited options compared to the purchased software. The license versions are usually for a wide number of attendees and the more the attendees, the more the license costs.

This program usually comes with a recording capability, such that as long as the feature is enabled, the conference can be recorded. This can later be viewed, sold or given to participants. Another advantage is that most programs can be used to stream webcam images. It is better than other webcam broadcast options as it is normally secure.

The attendees can also provide feedback by answering given questionnaires, interactive polling and other feedback forums. They can also provide a forum to interact with the audience by giving answers to questions raised or providing links that can be used to access further resources. This is the benefit of webinars occurring in real-time.

It is also a cheaper than most of the alternatives, once you have the application, it does not cost anymore to run. The program can also be used for a variety of purposes including giving online learning facilities for various courses or for videoconferencing in the company.

In the current digital age, webinars are a great way to connect with people and share information. Webinar software is therefore a great addition for a company that usually needs constant interaction with people.
